Demolition, exhibited in Archiv* Gallery Kayafas, Boston, MA April 15–May 21, 2016
This single-channel video is looped stereogram of broken shards of old palettes. By rapidly swapping the images back and forth between the left and right images, an illusion of depth is created. This presentation is meant to imitate an Animated GIF, a compressed, multi-frame image format developed by CompuServe in 1987, but popularized by a new generation of users through popular web publishing platforms like Tumblr.
